Ford Motor Company has appointed Samir Singh as Director, Talent Acquisition for the Asia-Pacific region. In the role, Singh will lead the automaker’s recruitment strategy and talent acquisition function across APAC, one of the industry’s most competitive markets for engineering and technology talent.
Singh brings more than two decades of experience in talent acquisition. Based in Hyderabad, he has built and scaled recruitment teams across large organisations and holds a management qualification from the Symbiosis Institute of Business Management. His remit at Ford covers regional hiring strategy, employer branding, and talent pipelines across the Asia-Pacific market.
The appointment strengthens Ford’s regional talent acquisition leadership at a time when the global auto industry is competing hard for software, electric-vehicle, and engineering talent. Ford operates significant technology and engineering capability in India, including global business operations that support its worldwide functions, making the country a key node in its APAC talent map.
Talent acquisition leadership has taken on added weight across the automotive sector as carmakers retool for electrification, connected vehicles, and software-defined platforms. Recruiting and retaining specialised talent across multiple APAC markets, each with its own labour dynamics, sits at the centre of that shift.
Singh’s appointment adds to a run of senior talent and HR moves across the automotive sector in India and the wider region through 2026. Ford has not publicly detailed the reporting line for the role or a specific effective date.
