Jindal India has appointed Dr Amit Khanna as its Chief Human Resources Officer. In the role, Khanna will lead the company’s people function, taking ownership of workforce strategy, talent management, and organisational development across the business.
The appointment places human resources at the centre of Jindal India’s leadership agenda, with the company positioning workforce planning as a driver of its growth rather than a support function. Khanna steps in to shape talent strategy for one of the group’s operating businesses within the B C Jindal Group ecosystem.
“I am pleased to share that I have moved on from Bengaluru International Airport (BIAL) and joined Jindal India Limited in Delhi as Chief Human Resources Officer – Steel Business, marking the beginning of a new chapter in my professional journey,” Dr Khanna shared on LinkedIn.
Dr Khanna’s mandate is expected to cover talent acquisition, learning and development, employee engagement, and organisational capability as Jindal India works to align its people strategy with long-term business goals. The company has not publicly detailed a transition timeline or named a predecessor in the role.
Prior to Jindal India, Dr Khanna was associated with Bangalore International Airport for over 14 years, having joined in September 2012 as Head, Talent Management and HR Operations. In July 2016, he took up the role of GM & Head, HR and then became AVP & Head, HR in October 2021.
In the past, Dr Khanna has also worked for Reliance Communications, Bharti Airtel, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), and NTPC.
