Octave Intelligence inaugurated its Global Technology and Innovation Centre in Hyderabad on Wednesday, 26 August 2026, and said it plans to scale the site to 2,000 engineers in the coming years.
The centre spans about 2 lakh sq ft in HITEC City, with office floors and an Experience Centre. Teams there will work across software engineering, artificial intelligence, data, cloud, and product development, contributing to Octave’s global technology operations. The facility was inaugurated by Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Telangana’s Minister for Information Technology, Electronics and Communications.
Octave described the centre as a key global hub rather than a support back office, positioning the India teams to build technologies for customers in sectors where complex assets and infrastructure need real-time intelligence and data-driven decision-making. The company said it serves more than 60% of the Global Fortune 500 and roughly 4,500 customers across 180 countries.

The launch adds to a busy year for Hyderabad’s Global Capability Centre pipeline. The city has drawn a run of new technology and engineering centres, with global firms citing its talent pool, infrastructure, and lower operating friction than some rival metros. Telangana has actively courted GCC investment, signing agreements with several multinationals over the past year.
The planned ramp to 2,000 engineers places Octave among the larger recent GCC commitments in the city by headcount. Hiring is expected to focus on software, AI, data, and cloud roles as the centre builds out. How quickly the site reaches full scale will depend on the pace of recruitment in a competitive market for senior engineering and AI talent.
