AscentHR has appointed Shivaprasad Mundakana as Chief Human Resources Officer, effective 1 July 2026. He joins the Bengaluru-based HR technology and workforce solutions company as it expands across India and international markets.

In his new role, Mundakana will lead AscentHR’s people strategy, strengthen leadership capabilities for M&A-led expansion, drive HR integration for acquired businesses and develop scalable people processes across geographies.

“Joining AscentHR at this point in its growth journey is both exciting and inspiring. The company has built a strong foundation and is entering a phase where people, culture, and leadership will play an even greater role in shaping its future. I look forward to fostering a high-performance culture where people feel empowered to learn, grow, and contribute to the company’s success,” said Shivaprasad Mundakana, CHRO, AscentHR.

Mundakana brings more than 23 years of HR leadership experience across IT, ITES and commercial organisations. Before joining AscentHR, he held senior roles at Optum India, GE, Oracle and EFI. At Optum India, he scaled the organisation from 800 to 8,000 employees while sustaining employee experience scores in the 90s and maintaining a 90:10 retention-to-attrition ratio.

“With our expansion into new markets and continued focus on strategic acquisitions, strengthening our leadership capabilities is more important than ever. Shivaprasad’s proven experience in scaling organizations, integrating teams, and building high-performing cultures makes him the ideal leader to shape our people strategy and support our long-term growth,” said Subramanyam S., Founder and CEO, AscentHR.

Mundakana’s expertise spans talent acquisition, HR operations, organisational scaling, M&A integration, succession planning, employee engagement, DEI and workforce transformation. He is based in Hyderabad. The appointment signals AscentHR’s intent to anchor its next growth phase around leadership development and people integration as it scales through acquisitions.
