Hyundai Motor India Foundation, the CSR arm of Hyundai Motor India, has scaled its Vidya Vahini STEM programme to reach nearly 50,000 students across 364 government schools in FY26, the foundation said while announcing the second edition of its InnoFest science fair. The programme spans 26 districts across Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.

Vidya Vahini is the foundation’s Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths education initiative, built to widen access to experiential learning for students in government schools. It uses Mobile Science Labs, Lab on Bike, and Science Libraries to bring hands-on STEM resources into rural classrooms that would otherwise have limited access, the foundation stated.

The InnoFest 2026 edition was held at the National Science Centre in New Delhi from 9 to 10 February 2026, in partnership with Agastya International Foundation, the programme’s implementation partner. The event drew over 1,200 visitors and gave 45 young innovators from 16 districts a platform to showcase prototypes addressing real-world problems.

“InnoFest 2026 under Hyundai Motor India Foundation’s Vidya Vahini program gave 45 young innovators from 16 districts a national platform to showcase prototypes addressing real-world challenges,” said Puneet Anand, AVP and Vertical Head, Corporate Affairs, Corporate Communication and Social, Hyundai Motor India.

The programme is active across 22 districts in Uttar Pradesh, including Bhadohi, Jalaun, Chitrakoot, Lalitpur, Gonda, Ghazipur, Lucknow, Meerut, Mathura, Aligarh, and Ghaziabad, along with districts in Haryana. Anand said the objective was to enable equitable access to STEM education and nurture future-ready skills.

Skilling and education sit within Hyundai Motor India Foundation’s broader CSR mandate, which spans environment, health care, community development, and social inclusion. The foundation was formed in 2006 to carry out the CSR activities of Hyundai Motor India.
