Cipla has elevated Vinay Bassi to chief, HR operations, expanding his remit to cover HR operations, people strategy and HR technology across the pharmaceutical major’s workforce.
The promotion places Bassi at the centre of Cipla’s push to tighten HR processes and accelerate digital transformation. He will lead work on improving HR operations, enhancing employee experience, and driving operational efficiency, building on the technology and operations agenda he has run inside the company.
Bassi is not new to the brief. He most recently served as senior vice president and head of HR tech and operations at Cipla, and before that as vice president and head of the same function, where he helped advance the company’s HR technology stack. His new title formalises a scope he has effectively been growing into.
Bassi brings nearly four decades of experience in human resources, having worked across the pharmaceutical, FMCG, manufacturing and consumer sectors, with earlier leadership roles that include Arvind Ltd.
