Urban Company has announced the resignation of Neha Mathur, its Chief Human Resource Officer, after a tenure of five years and four months. According to a regulatory filing dated July 11, 2026, Mathur submitted her resignation on July 10, and the company has accepted it. Her last working day will be August 31, 2026.
Mathur joined Urban Company in April 2021 as SVP-HR and was later elevated to lead the people success function as CHRO. She brings more than 18 years of experience across global organisations. Before Urban Company, she headed HR for Uber’s IndiaSA and Korea Ridesharing business from October 2018 to March 2021, where she also served on Uber’s IndiaSA Regional leadership team and the APAC People leadership team.
The exchange filing states that Mathur resigned for personal reasons. It has been categorised as a change in senior management personnel and filed in accordance with the SEBI Master Circular issued in January 2026. Urban Company has not named a successor, nor has it indicated whether an interim executive will take over the HR function.
During her time at the company, Mathur was credited with developing people-centric policies, driving diversity and inclusion initiatives, and creating systems to support what the company calls a high-performing workforce. Her exit comes as Urban Company continues to scale its at-home services marketplace and expand the professional network it depends on.
The development follows a period of heightened competitive pressure in India’s home services sector, with rivals such as Snabbit and Pronto also drawing scrutiny over workforce and privacy practices in recent months. Urban Company has not announced any other changes to its senior management or organisational structure in connection with Mathur’s departure.
