FACE Prep has promoted Arumugam Vadivelu to Vice President, Talent Acquisition.
In his new role, Vadivelu will lead end-to-end talent acquisition at FACE Prep, with a brief to build a scalable hiring engine aligned to the placement and skill-development company’s expansion plans across India.
The promotion marks his step up from the role of HR Business Partner, which he had held since November 2021. With this elevation, Vadivelu also takes formal ownership of the company’s hiring strategy at a time when ed-tech and skilling firms are competing harder for both delivery and corporate talent.
Before the role of HR Business Partner, Vadivelu was Senior Manager for HR Operations and Strategy from September 2020, after a year and a half as Manager for HR Operations and Strategy starting in 2019. He was earlier promoted to Manager for Talent Acquisition and Management in 2018, just over two years into his FACE Prep stint, in a move that took him from Coimbatore to Bengaluru. Vadivelu joined FACE Prep in April 2016 as Manager, Human Resources, in the company’s early scale-up phase.
Before FACE Prep, Vadivelu started his career as a Support Analyst at iOPEX Technologies in 2013, where he handled team management and client interactions. Vadivelu holds a PGDM in Human Resources, a Master’s degree in Psychology from Indira Gandhi National Open University, and is recognised within the FACE Prep ecosystem for his work on employee relations, retention, payroll, compliance and exit management.
His past experience across HR operations, talent management and organisational strategy, combined with nearly a decade inside FACE Prep’s own growth journey, positions him to anchor the company’s next phase of recruitment scale-up.
