Avtar has promoted Swetha Lakshmi to Vice President of Talent Acquisition, recognising her long-standing contribution to building inclusive and future-ready talent solutions for organisations.
Lakshmi has been associated with Avtar in senior talent leadership roles and brings over 22 years of professional experience spanning talent acquisition and academia.
Of this, nearly 18 years have been dedicated to recruitment and workforce strategy across industries, including consumer goods, retail, manufacturing, telecom, IT, and knowledge services. At Avtar, she has played a key role in shaping inclusive hiring frameworks and strengthening leadership pipelines for client organisations.
In her expanded role, Lakshmi will lead Talent Solutions, overseeing end-to-end recruitment mandates covering leadership and C-suite hiring, second-career programmes, diversity hiring initiatives, and AI-enabled recruitment offerings. Earlier, she was responsible for driving leadership, contingency, and diversity hiring portfolios.
Lakshmi has been recognised for her contribution to the talent ecosystem, including being named among the Top 150 Recruiters in India at the IIM Jobs Virtuoso Awards. She holds an MBA in Human Resources from the University of Madras.
