Tech Mahindra has shared that its headcount went down by 3,098 in the October 2025 – December 2025 quarter (Q3 FY26).
In particular, the number of IT employees within the company decreased by 2,334 in Q3 FY26. Overall, Tech Mahindra’s headcount stood at 1,49,616 on December 31, 2025, including IT, BPS, sales and support staff. This marked a year-on-year decrease of 872, when compared to December 2024.
Additionally, Tech Mahindra’s last twelve-month (LTM) attrition has dropped to 12.3% in Q3 FY26 from 12.8 % in the previous quarter.
Tech Mahindra’s numbers follow the trend seen in its competing IT companies. The headcount of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) went down by 11,151 employees in Q3 FY26, in line with the company’s plans of restructuring. HCL Tech’s workforce also declined by 261 in the same period. In contrast, Infosys saw its headcount increase by 5,043 employees.
