DS Group has appointed Subrat Chakravarty as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and Head – Business Excellence.

With over three decades of experience, Chakravarty has built and led people functions that directly enabled business growth, M&A integration, greenfield expansion in new markets and territories and setting up GCCs. He focuses on helping complex, multi-country companies navigate talent strategy, digital HR ecosystems, skill anchored workforce transformations, leadership coaching & development, and expansion aligned to business and client priorities.
Chakravarty has worked for HCL Technologies for over twenty years, though not consecutively. He first joined the company in July 2002 as Principle – People & Technology Consulting. In December 2007, Chakravarty was promoted to General Manager – Corporate HR, a role he held until March 2009, when he left the company for the first time.
In October 2009, Chakravarty rejoined HCL Technologies as Corporate HR Head & Head HR ( BPO Business), but left in June 2013. This was followed by his coming back to HCL Technologies in September 2015 as Global Head of Enterprise HR. He was promoted to Head of Human Resources & Global Program Director – HR Process & Technology Transformation in June 2018, a role he held until December 2025.
From June 2013 to August 2015, Chakravarty worked for Birlasoft, CK Birla Group Company, as Chief People Officer. He was also associated with Aon Hewitt from March 2009 to October 2009 as Group Manager (VP). Additionally, Chakravarty has worked for Kenya Airways, L&T Infotech, Indian Petrochemicals Corporation, and Bata India.
