Saint-Gobain Group has elevated Akash K J as Head of Talent Acquisition, India, entrusting him with the mandate to build and lead a Talent Acquisition Centre of Excellence (CoE) for the group’s operations in the country.
The move is aimed at strengthening hiring capability and creating a unified recruitment framework across Saint-Gobain’s diverse businesses in India.
In his new role, Akash will focus on developing standardised, technology-enabled recruitment processes to drive speed, consistency and an improved candidate experience.
The CoE is expected to support a future-ready hiring ecosystem that aligns talent acquisition more closely with business growth and evolving workforce needs.
Before this appointment, he served as Head of Human Resources at Saint-Gobain Weber India and has also held senior HR leadership roles within Saint-Gobain India Private Limited’s Glass business, where he worked on HR transformation, talent strategy and organisational effectiveness.
Earlier in his career, Akash gained foundational HR experience with organisations including Bajaj Auto Ltd, Spark Minda and Radisson Blu, shaping his understanding of people practices across manufacturing, automotive and hospitality sectors.
With this appointment, Saint-Gobain reinforces its focus on strengthening talent infrastructure in India, as the group continues to scale operations and invest in long-term people capability.
