Kirloskar Oil Engines has appointed Shyam R S as Head HR: Distribution and Aftermarket Business.

Prior to joining Kirloskar Oil Engines, Shyam was with Gilbarco Veeder-Root. From June 2024 to December 2025, he was with the company as Regional People & Culture Business Partner: Service & Project Business, India.
For over six years, Shyam was also associated with Cummins India. He started as Plant HRBP Leader in June 2018. In September 2022, he was promoted to HRBP Leader: Integrated Supply Chain Management, India ABO. This was followed by his ascension to HRBP Leader: Tata Cummins Pvt Ltd (TCPL) and TCPL Green Energy Solution, Jamshedpur, in January 2024, and he held the role until June 2024.
Shyam is a former member of the Indian Army. He was part of the Armed Forces from September 2002 to May 2018. During this time, he served as Lieutenant Colonel/ Head (People & Culture)/ Senior Service and OE Leader. Before that, he served as a Lecturer in Electrical & Electronics at the University of Madras from April 2001 to August 2002.
