Reckitt has appointed Anandi Shankar as the new Regional HR Director, South Asia. In the new role, she will oversee the people function across the region.
Taking to LinkedIn, Shankar wrote, “I’m delighted to join Reckitt, an organization that believes in performance and purpose, and has been impacting the health and hygiene needs of our people in South Asia through power brands like Dettol, Harpic, Durex and more. To the table, she will bring more than two decades of HR leadership experience, primarily at Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL).
During her 21-year journey at Unilever, she held numerous influential roles, including Global Head of Learning, Head of HR for Beauty and Personal Care and Nutrition, and General Manager HR – Talent, Organisation and Integration.
In these capacities, she shaped global and regional HR strategies impacting people and business outcomes across more than 150 countries.
At HUL, Shankar also led the post-merger integration of the acquisition of GSK Consumer Healthcare, overseeing integration that brought iconic brands like Horlicks and Boost under the Unilever umbrella.
With her deep expertise in talent management, organisational transformation, learning & development, and cross-cultural leadership, Shankar is exceptionally positioned to drive Reckitt’s people agenda across South Asia.
Her proven track record in steering large-scale HR initiatives, coupled with her strategic vision and commitment to building culture and capability, makes this new role both significant for Reckitt and a testament to her leadership legacy.
