Reliance Industries has promoted Ashish Narain to Vice President & Head, Talent Acquisition – Manufacturing, Research & Technology.
“I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Vice President & Head, Talent Acquisition – Manufacturing, Research & Technology at Reliance Industries Limited,” Narain shared on LinkedIn.
In his new role, Narain will lead the end-to-end Talent Acquisition function for all Manufacturing Sites and Research & Technology across India, including 11 manufacturing sites and the national headquarters. He will cover a diverse talent pool, including refining, petrochemicals, polyester, R&D, and technology verticals.
Narain has been a part of Reliance Industries for over 21 years. He joined the company in April 2004 as a Maintenance Manager. In March 2008, Narain became an Organisational Development (OD) Specialist – Retail IT. This was followed by his ascension to Lead – Global mobility, Expatriate and Leadership Compensation, Corporate HR in March 2010.
In May 2013, Head HR, Industrial Relations (IR) & Admin for Reliance Industries. He was then appointed as Head Talent Acquisition – Reliability, Engineering & Maintenance in September 2018. Narain became Head – HR in March 2021 and was later promoted to Vice President Human Resources (CHRO’s Office) in October 2023. From March 2024 to October 2025, Narain served as Vice President and Head of Rewards – Hydrocarbons, a role he held until his latest promotion.
