Trident Group India has appointed Devender Gupta as Head – Human Resources (HR) & Employee Relations.

In his new role, Gupta will combine strategic HR leadership with deep operational understanding, backed by empathy, collaboration, and a strong belief that empowered talent and strong employee relations are the foundation of sustained business excellence. With this philosophy, he hopes to contribute to Trident’s growth and transformation journey.
Prior to joining Trident, Gupta served as the Group CHRO of Haldiram Snacks from August 2023 to September 2025.
“Over the last 2 successful years at Haldiram Snacks Food Pvt Ltd, where I played an instrumental role in driving a major business merger and seamless organisational integration, elevating the HR Business Partnering model, strengthening ER & engagement frameworks, and supporting leadership in building a unified, future-ready workforce,” said Gupta.
For over 26 years, Gupta was a part of Dabur India. He started working for the company in June 1997 as a Management Trainee – HR and then became an Executive – HR in June 1998. In July 2000, Gupta was appointed as Assistant Manager – HR. He then became Regional Human Resources Manager in July 2002.
Gupta was next promoted to Senior Regional HR Manager in July 2004 at Dabur India. This was followed by him becoming Senior Manager – HR in July 2007 and Deputy General Manager – HR in July 2009. In July 2011, Gupta was given the role of Addl. General Manager – HR.
Dabur India appointed Gupta as General Manager – HR in July 2014. He went on to become Senior General Manager – HR in July 2017. Ultimately, from January 2020 to August 2023, Gupta served as Vice President – HR.
