Foseco India has appointed Prachee Sonchal as Director of Human Resources (HR).
“The appointment of Sonchal was approved by the Board of Directors on October 15, 2025, following a recommendation from the Nomination & Remuneration Committee. This strategic move aims to strengthen Foseco India’s human resource management and organisational development,” an official statement from Foseco India explained.
“As the company continues to evolve in a competitive market, Sonchal’s extensive experience across multiple sectors could prove invaluable in driving employee engagement, talent acquisition, and organisational transformation.”
With over 21 years of experience, Sonchal has a proven track record of driving organisational change, enhancing the engagement levels and optimising Talent Retention across various sectors. Her key skills include talent acquisition & development, leadership & succession planning, employee engagement, culture building, change management, and industrial relations.
Prior to joining Foseco India, Sonchal was a part of Burckhardt Compression as Head, Human Resources, a role she took up in October 2022. Sonchal improved overall Gallup Score from 3.7 ot 4.1 at Burckhardt, with HR Team Score improved from 3.8 to 4.7 on a scale of 5.
In March 2020, Sonchal joined Emerson Automation Solutions as Associate Director and then became Associate Director and Site HR Leader, Emerson Integrated Management Centre, Talegaon, in August 2021. From April 2019 to February 2020, Sonchal was with GoAir as General Manager-HRBP, leading cross-cultural teams in 8 countries for international expansion.
Sonchal was with Forvia Hella from November 2014 to March 2019 as Head of Human Resources for Pune. While there, she increased retention by 8-10% through early-career programs and effective communication frameworks. Sonchal also led the HR process landscape built on a global cloud-based solution platform by Cornerstone.
In July 2013, Sonchal joined Voltas Commercial Air-Conditioning Business as Manager-Business HR. Sonchal was with Tata Administrative Services (TAS) from August 2012 to June 2013 as Human Resource Development Manager (HRDP).
Sonchal also worked for Tata Motors as Manager-Human Resources from July 2004 to July 2012. During her time at Tata Motors, Sonchal reduced hiring costs by 25% through contract hiring innovation.
