TCS controversies continue to make headlines. After reports of forced resignations, a former Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) employee has now alleged that he was physically assaulted by the HR team when requesting severance compensation following an abrupt termination. The employee claims the termination was carried out without explanation and has reportedly filed a formal police complaint regarding the alleged incident.
The allegations emerged in a Reddit post that quickly gained traction, in which a former employee recounted his experience at TCS’s Yamuna office in Noida. He stated that he was abruptly terminated on 19 September and sought clarification regarding severance pay, the reasons for his termination, and exit procedures. According to him, multiple emails and calls to HR went unanswered before his official access was revoked by mid-morning.
When the employee went to the office in person, he alleges that the HR team attempted to seize his phone and twisted his hand while restraining him.
He recounted: “After emailing HR and even calling, I got no reply. By 10:30 AM my access was blocked. So I went to the office in person around 4:30 PM. When I met HR (Naresh Dash), he told me: “We won’t reply. You are terminated. Fight wherever you want.” Later, when I tried again with my phone camera on for safety, another HR (Prerna) shouted to “snatch his phone” and they physically restrained me. My right hand was twisted, I was in pain, and honestly I felt humiliated,” he wrote.
According to the employee, he was taken to the Sector-168 police chowki in Noida, where he filed a complaint along with video evidence. He also claimed that HR representatives were summoned to the police station but did not show up. “Now I’m stuck — no severance, no formal response, and on top of that, I was physically assaulted,” he wrote. The Reddit post rapidly gained attention, with many users advising him to share video evidence on social media, while others encouraged pursuing legal action.
