Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) signed a long-term wage settlement pact with the United Union of Hyundai Employees (UUHE).

Valid for three years, from April 1, 2024, through March 31, 2027, the pact includes a salary hike of ₹31,000 per month. Termed as an “industry-best salary increase,” the hike will be structured over the three-year period in the ratio of 55%, 25% and 20%.

Along with the wage hike, the new set of compensation as agreed by the two parties includes continued best-in-class health coverage and advanced wellness programs.

“At Hyundai, our people are the cornerstone of our success. This agreement, built on mutual trust, respect, and constructive dialogue, reflects our shared commitment to fostering a progressive workplace culture that prioritises employee welfare and supports long-term organisational growth,” said Mr Youngmyung Park, Function Head (People Strategy) at Hyundai Motor India.

UUHE also played a significant role in representing the interests of the employees in the settlement. The union is the officially recognised representative body for the workforce of Hyundai Motor India and was registered in 2011. As of August 31, 2025, UUHE represented 1,981 employees, which comprises 90% of the technician/workmen cadre.
