MRG Group has appointed Amitesh Osta as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).
With over 17 years of experience, Osta has worked for various FMCG/CPG companies in the past. He is well-versed in coaching, performance management, statutory compliance, employee relations, and employer reputation. Osta’s other areas of expertise include employee experience, talent management, building teams, mergers & acquisitions, and restructuring.
Before he joined MRG Group, Osta was a part of METRO Wholesale India. He joined the company in December 2022 as Vice President, HR: Business Head, a position he retained until September 2025.
From July 2019 to November 2022, Osta was a part of AB InBev India as Associate Director HRSS, ER, IR & People Compliance. Prior to that, he was working with Johnson & Johnson from April 2017 to July 2019 as HR Leader, Consumer Supply Chain.
For over eight years, Osta was affiliated with Unilever. He joined the company in June 2008 as a part of the Industrial Relations team. In May 2010, Osta was promoted to the role of Human Resources Business Partner.
In November 2012, Osta became Human Resources Shared Services Manager at Unilever. This was followed by his ascension to the position of South Asia ER Manager in January 2016.
