Info Edge, the parent company of Naukri and 99acres, revealed that it received a whistleblower complaint regarding possible policy violations by the employees of 99acres.
In an exchange filing on Saturday, Info Edge stated that the allegations were taken up by the company’s Audit Committee and Board of Directors. In the spirit of transparency and integrity, they have hired a specialist law firm to investigate the allegations.
“The audit committee and board of directors have appropriately noted the contents of the allegations and mandated a reputed specialist law firm to independently and comprehensively investigate the matter,” Info Edge stated in the filing.
Though Info Edge has not shared any further details surrounding the allegations, it remains firm that the ongoing investigation will not have any material impact on the company’s financial statements. The complaint will be, according to Info Edge, investigated as per the whistleblower policy available on the company’s website.
“Info Edge (India) Limited (“Organization”) believes in the conduct of its affairs in a fair, accountable and transparent manner and is committed to creating a culture of ‘Right Doing’ that encourages highest standards of professionalism, ethics, integrity and objectivity in individual conduct,” reads Info Edge’s Whistelblower Policy Statement.
Apart from Naukri and 99acres, Info Edge is also behind Jeevansathi, Shiksha, Aisle, and various other ventures. The company is also known for its investments in Anscer Robotics, Bachatt, and various other startups.
